We brought colleagues from across the nation together via webinar to share information on specific topics of interest. These webinars were moderated but informal to allow for a comfortable and productive exchange of questions, ideas, and solutions.
Peer Training Network: Exchanged ideas on all aspects of child welfare training with educators and child welfare trainers from other agencies. Participants discussed such topics as new hire training models, supervisory training curricula, and training evaluation approaches.
Child and Family Services Review/Plan (CFSR/CFSP) Peer Network: State, local, and Tribal coordinators for the CFSR and CFSP discussed topics of interest, shared peer learning, and provided constructive input regarding the Child and Family Services Review (CFSR) process, the five-year Child and Family Services Plan (CFSP), and the Annual Progress and Services Reports (APSRs).
Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Peer Network: Participants shared their experiences and built on the successes of other CQI staff. Each webinar highlighted state and county successes in a specific topic area that included a facilitated discussion focused on barriers, challenges, and strategies. Network participants led the agenda development to focus calls on critical CQI issues.
Practice Model Peer Network: Participants working on developing and/or implementing a child welfare practice model in their respective States, Tribes, or counties discussed strategies and shared resources.
